Cyrus Bates Currier was born in Marietta, Ohio on December 13, 1868. He studied in Paris at Académie Julian and with Mucha, Bouguereau and Constant. He settled in Los Angeles about 1919 and lived there until his death September 27, 1946. He was the brother of artist Edward W. Currier. Member: Salmagundi Club.
