Lou Absalon was born June 6, 1917, and lived most of his life in Morristown, N.J. He was a graduate of Princeton University. During World War II he was stationed in the South Pacific for three and one-half years. He worked for Schering-Plough for years. He was never married, lived alone, and was an avid tennis fan who loved classical music. He painted in a variety of styles, from winter scenes of New Jersey and Pennsylvania to scenes of the American southwest during the many summers he spent in New Mexico. Most of his paintings were done in the 1960s and 1970s. He served as president of the Morristown Art Association. Absalon died on December 12, 2012.
